We only recently discovered the people at Orange Snail Brewers during the Ontario Brewing Awards. It seemed they had won last year and were going for another win! Sadly they didn’t win an award, but certainly won our hearts (awwww!)
Shortly after the awards we had a family function in Guelph. It just so happens Milton is on the way, so of course we had to make a visit.
While there we tried all their beers but fell in love with the hop bomb named ‘Jasper.’ We grabbed a growler and drank it fresh as soon as we got home.
Sadly you wont find this at any LCBO (yet!) but it sits at 6% ABV and can be purchased at the brewery for $20 (growler!) which includes the $8 deposit.
Appearance: Orange with a simple lasting white head. Filtered.
Aroma: Very tropical. Orange and mangoes.
Taste: The mango gets better and pineapple shows up. Light mouth feel.
Aftertaste: Dry and simple.
Overall: Very pleasant and tropical. Great for a patio.
