You may have noticed that we haven’t posted as many “previews” this year as in past summers. To be honest we just haven’t had as much time to go to events as we used to. We don’t write about an event unless we go to it so we have paired down how many of these we write to make up for that.
That means that this year, only the best events get previews. Since you read the title of this post you know that one of those “best of” events is most definitely the Toronto Cider Festival.
This year marks their 5 year anniversary and also the 5 year anniversary of Toronto Booze Hound – which means we have gone to every single Toronto Cider Festival that has happened. From it’s beginnings at Yonge-Dundas square to last year’s country night, we have loved every single one of their events.
This year the event happens August 23rd and 24th over 3 sessions with a special Country Night happening Friday night. This year there are over 100 ciders available from 35 different cideries. We gotta say, it’s nice that there is such a variety available. We have friends who avoid gluten and this gives them an opportunity to enjoy a huge range of different flavours and styles.
On top of the cider selection you’ll get to enjoy live music throughout the weekend and live entertainment including the fan favourite flair competition.
We’ll be there Saturday so come say Hi!
