A lot of people don’t know this but I actually grew up in the Kitchener Waterloo area, which makes me a bit biased towards craft alcohol from there.
While I have fond memories of drinking Waterloo Dark and anything by THE BRICK! I wish there were more options from the area.
In comes Kw Craft Cider.
A brand new cidery based in my home town. It looks like they opened their doors just this year which is why they only have one product thus far.
Sadly this product is not yet in the LCBO but keep an eye out for it at your favourite bars. It sits at a surprisingly high 6.7% ABV.
Appearance: Straw yellow. Filtered.
Aroma: Light caramel and cinnomen.
Taste: Crisp and dry the way I like it. Sour on the back. Bit of grapes. The caramel gets hidden by the crisp flavours.
Aftertaste: Super short and dry.
Overall: My favourite style, this is exactly what I want in a cider.

Love KW Cider!
Great to see premium craft products coming out of Kitchener-Waterloo!
Smells like a hint of apple mixed with fart, rot and egg. Truly. Me and my boyfriend both gagged just from opening the can. I’m not kidding at all. I don’t know how to be more sincere without sounding completely sarcastic. This is disgusting.
