I apologize for the dark photo. I didn’t realize just how dark it was when I took it. I should have used a flash!
Orange Snail has sort of become a stopping point for us any time we go to visit family. They are the perfect midpoint between Toronto and the tri-city area that most of my family lives in so I always end up making a stop there.
This stop we returned our growler from the last review and picked up a few cans. This is Iron Pig.
Iron Pig is a pale ale that is advertised as a well blended mix of citrus and biscuit notes. Not exactly exciting flavours but I do like when something is blended well.
You can pick up cans at the brewery and it sits at 5% ABV.
Appearance: Burnt gold. White head fades instantly.
Aroma: Pizza dough and vanilla.
Taste: More white dough, very fresh! Vanilla as well.
Aftertaste: Short, dry and easy.
Overall: Reasonable pale ale. Bit sweeter than I get normally but pretty good. Pair this with bar affair such as good fish and chips or a burger.
